My 85 CC goes forward in reverse on smokes in forward can someone help

THere is smoke just before fire......where was the smoke coming from?

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE 2 PROBLEMS....
You need a new F&R switch and it is wired wrong....
That is easy to remedy when install the new one.

Running the cart like this risks fire and personal injury

You may have melted some other wires also? Have you checked all wires and tugged on all connections to see if they are solid?
