Default 02 DS, Batteries left uncharged

Purchased an 02 DS that had batteries replaced Oct of 2014. (6-8v Trojan T875's)
Problem is they were left uncharged over the summer.
I checked the combined voltage to be 15.73.
After bypassing the sense relay in the charger, it hums but no amps show on the meter.
I left it plugged in overnight and the voltage is up to 20.6.
Is there any hope for these or are they toast?
Any tips or tricks to get them to take a charge?
Thanks for any advise.

Are you sure charger is good? I'm assuming you checked the water levels. Maybe try disconnecting batteries and charging them individually with a different charger?

I isolated the batteries and brought them all up over 6 volts with a manual 12v charger. I then hooked them back up and the charger works.
I left it plugged in overnight and the charger was off this morning.
They tested at 48 volts. I re inserted the charger and it is going again now.
I hope a few cycles might work to bring them back.

Batteries suffer irreversible damage when left below 50% charge for extended periods of time. You may get a voltage reading near usable numbers (48v is 50% recharged) but the amperage storage capacity is diminished. The result will be poor performance and short run time. Look to replace this pack soon.
