Default waterproof/onboard charger poll

Please vote 1 time in the pole above even if you see the pole in multiple locations.
Thanks for participating.

I would like to know how many of the members would be interested in a waterproof on-board charger. The charger would be built specifically for on board use. It would be small, lightweight, high 25-30a output, smart charging, auto off. The charger would cost about $375-395 dollars. However shipping would be $15-20 anywhere in the USA 3 day mail. Warranty would be 1 year.

Two questions;
1, Would this charger replace all other charging?
2, Where would it typically be mounted in a DS or Precedent?

Concerns would be durability & life expectancy, I know PPL here has done it on some carts, It would be convenient but the big question can it last like a good ol transformer type charger?

Sorry I figured If I was going to vote I should tell you why or what would drive me one way or the other.

Sorry I posted this on the wrong sub-forum:

Would it work with the OBC of iQ carts?

No, the only charger that works with the CC OBC is the CC charger because the CC charger is just a transformer and a relay which the OBC triggers on or off ... these on-board chargers are stand alone type chargers.

I haven't seen a BGW poll in years!

If... I were to get another sparky, I'd definitely want a waterproof on-board charger!

No way to know the answer to this question just yet. But it is rated as water and shockproof. Thanks for voicing your concerns.

So we're talking some kind of retractable 3-prong plug that would just come out of the cart and plug in to the wall?

Depending on weight added to cart, I'd probably be a "yes". Reason being, if I drive the cart to a friend's I can just plug it in there while we're hanging out so I go home on a full(er) charge.

Any chance of an affordable on-board 8v bank charger?
