Battery light will not stay on
Put a 48 to 12 converter on my 96 Clubcar ds. hooked everything back, now battery indicator light will not come on, did an OBC reset,no light, stepped on pedal and the battery light came on briefly and then went back off. Did another reset same thing happened. Where should I start looking to solve this problem? Thanks, muddog

Re: Battery light will not stay on
By battery indicator light do you mean the orange (sometimes red light) on the dash by the steering column. If that is the light you mean that should only be on when your batteries are low on charge.

Re: Battery light will not stay on
Do a full charge, those bar graph type SOC gauges need to see charging voltage ( greater than +56v ) for a few minutes in order to reset to Full.

Re: Battery light will not stay on
Sounds like you have a loose wire.

Re: Battery light will not stay on
Charged overnight last night, no light this morning. Did another reset today still no light. plug the charger in, it's getting 62 volts to the battery pack, the batteries sound like they're boiling

Re: Battery light will not stay on
If that is a typical meter, it should have:
Make sure the "+" terminal is always powered regardless of key position. |

Re: Battery light will not stay on
Mine has one wire connected to the key switch and a brown wire coming off the other terminal going to the OBC. it is a factory stock SOC indicator.

Re: Battery light will not stay on
Those are the typical connections for the battery warning light, sorry but I am not familiar with any gauge that plugs to those color wires.
The precedent has a different (black/yellow) negative wire for the optional battery gauge. If You don't get any help soon, can You post a picture of this meter? |

Re: Battery light will not stay on
It is as you see on a 96 club car wiring diagram there is a brown wire that come from the OBC to the warning light in the dash the other wire goes to the key switch
