Club car speed
Hi all new to the forum. I have 2010 club car precedent with a lift and 22x10-14 rims and tires. I just wonder is 10 mph top speed normal for this kind of set up? Seems a little slow to me?
Thanks |

Re: Club car speed
Welcome to BGW killer!
Stock 18" tires run about 14 mph... With 22" tires, you should be getting closer to 17 mph... What type of Precedent do you have... Gas or Electric? (so I can move it to the appropriate forum) |

Sounds like yours is set at speed code 1 which is 8 miles an hour with stock tires. If you have an IQ cart a cheap magnet will net you close to 20 miles per hour, if you have an Excel cart you will need speed code 4 installed by a dealer to the same 20 miles an hour. |

Re: Club car speed
10 mph is very slow. Sounds like a bad speed sensor. Do the speed sensor test. Go to the top of the electric club car section of this forum and you'll see a post about the speed sensor test. If it fails, replace it. But don't buy one of the cheap Chinese ones. A good quality speed sensor is over 100 bucks. But you'll only have to buy it once.

Re: Club car speed
Yes looks like it the speed sensor, so I will order a new one. Any thing else I should change while doing this? Not sure if they make a high speed magnet for my model, from what I'm read they don't .
