06 carry all speed?
06 carry all 6, 48 volt, it is a series. Just curious does 8 mph on the flat sound right for top speed?

Is it an IQ cart? If so, then it sounds like you are on speed code 1.

He said it was a series cart. Can't be an IQ too.

Re: 06 carry all speed?
If it's definitely a series car (lever operated F&R Switch) check the throttle input to the controller. Locate the small three "blade" terminals on the controller labeled 1, 2, 3. Unplug the green one and the yellow one. Set your voltmeter to 20K ohms and insert the leads of the meter into the ends of these wires. With the shift lever in forward and the key on, slowly depress the accelerator pedal and watch the meter. It should go from 6800 or so at zero throttle down to around 1100 ohms at the floor. If you're not getting 1100 ohms, you may have a pedal linkage wear issue or a bad MCOR.

Re: 06 carry all speed?
Tahoe, it has lever for forward and reverse, all cables on motor are same size and don't see a tow run switch. I will have to do the test you said as soon as I can. Does that top speed of 8 mph seem slow to you? If so what do you think it should do. Eventually I would like to get 18 to 20 mph but not sure what upgrades I would need to do to achieve that and still have good torque. Have 6 in lift and 22 in tires ready to put on. Thanks for your help

Re: 06 carry all speed?
A series cart runs typically 12-15 mph stock. The good news is that a series drive system is a 'workhorse' system and are great to upgrade.

Re: 06 carry all speed?
I thought it seemed a little slow but wasn't sure, gonna have to do test like Tahoe suggested and go from there. Thanks for replies. I'll check and get back when I do checks.

Re: 06 carry all speed?
It's a little slow but like Jake said, it's not supposed to be a speed demon by any stretch of the imagination. Let me know what you find. Your throttle linkage may need to be adjusted.

Re: 06 carry all speed?
Ok unhooked yellow and green wire from controller, set meter to 20k ohms and put on wires , when the selinoid clicked it read 6.85 and went to 1.54 with pedal fully depressed. Not sure what the deal is with them readings must be my meter I guess
