Default 2002 Club Car

I have used golf carts in the past , my gun club ownes a number of them. I just bought a 2002 club car for myself. I noticed that the cart I just got has an electrical gear selector,as instead of a lever that you move into a certain position. How are they in comparision to the old style selector? How do they compare in reliablity? Thanks

They're ok. Cheaper to replace, if nothing else.

Hello everyone, I just joined this site. I purchased a 2002 Electric Club Car just yesterday and although I decyphered the serial number with ease I don't know what the IQ System is. Can someone help me to understand what that means?

The rocker switch is one way to tell that your 2002 is a "regen" model. It has a system to charge the batteries when you are braking. A good feature and adds value.

Are you saying if it has a rocker switch then it's a 'regen' model?

Thanks!
