runs without key in ignition
trying to fix my wifes 1991 club car 36 volt, what it does is without using the key you can move direction selector to forward or reverse, and before you mash the pedal it will already be trying to go. im pretty sure the wireing is correct. also you can see sparks around the direction selector switch when you change direction. I would appreciate any help. thanks

All of those symptoms lead to a welded main solenoid.
You can double check by measuring the voltage accross the small solenoid posts, if it is 0v with the switcn OFF, the solenoid is bad. |

tested solenoid, was bad. ordered one off ebay $23.00 switched it out. problem solved...SERGIO, YOUR THE MAN!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP
