Default 2001 Club Car No go, orange motor wire hot

I have a 2001 Club Car 48V that does not run. When I press the accelerator the solenoid closes and have noticed that the orange wire to the motor becomes warm. The best I can tell the motor is not shorted to the case. I also checked the solenoid and is is good.

My thought is either the motor or the controller. What is the best way to check the motor.

Thank you,

Ken

What is your serial number? Also, do you have a lever FR switch, or is it a rocker switch?

Series
connect s1 to a2 with battery cable
connect battery charger 12v pos to s2
connect battery charger 12v negto a1
If she spins your good if not could be seized bearing
You can use cart batteries as well just tap into two or three of them to get your 12v-18v
