36 volt club car
Can anybody tell me any info about this cart. Guy says it's a 36 volt Club Car. He says the batteries test good, comes with a charger and rides nice. He couldn't tell me any other info. Can these be modified to go faster? Is this cart old enough that it uses coil type resistors or a controller? Please keep in mind I've only had Yamaha gas carts and one 87 ezgo with coil resistors which I hated. He wants $500. It also has a box on the back. Is it worth it?

Look under the dash and get the serial number. It will have a 1 or 2 letter prefix then numbers. With that we can determine what type of drive system it has. Check the stickies under the Club Car section. You will find the info you need there or just post the number and someone will help you.

The steering wheel, seat, and fiberglass body all say 1980s model... Which would make it a resistor coil cart.

Scottyb is correct. And judging by the nameplate style it's probably early 80s. Definitely a multi-solenoid resistor car.
