Default HELP! Battery Terminal Burn Off....

Well.. I just got done rebuilding my first cart. I drove it around all night on halloween with no problems. Took it out today with my kids to drive the neighborhood (we lived in a slightly hilly area) and started to smell some burning.

I pulled over a few times and couldn't find anything... Then all of a sudden the cart stopped, I flipped off the seat and noticed that battery 2's terminal "burnt" off... Any suggestions on what is the cause? Or should I just replace the battery. I have included pics.

This is a 2001.5 Club Cart DS 48V.

I've had 2 Interstate Batteries do that. In my case the bolt became loose in it's lead potting hole. Grab the cable lug and wiggle it side to side. If it's loose the bolt has become loose in the lead and needs to be repaired as described above.
