Default Great pick up No top end n Forget about going up a hill

I been lurking for a bit and just joined yesterday. I read a lot of threads and Really didn't want to post this but I think I checked everything you guys told other people to check. Let me start with I bought a 91 club car ds with US 2200 batteries can't tell the year like the old owner worn them off on purpose all batteries don't have any codes on them anymore?? Hmmm. So the cart takes of Great very quick but bout half throttle it losses power and the lights dime pretty good too. Alone in the cart I can go up a small incline but with my wife Forget it its not happening. Each battery has 6.3 volts and from first poss to last neg I have 39 volts before a ride 37 after a ride. I have a newer 5 amp charger (in the pic) that will not show fully chargered even after charging over nite. The charger output is reading 41 volts.(witch I read might be high?) so I don't know what year the batteries are but even after taking it out around our hilly neighborhood 3 times(witch took ForEver) they read 6.2 each and 37 all together (1st to last)'. The batteries are bloated though I don't know if that matters.(in the pic) Then under the seat is something that moves when you hit the gas..it's moving all the way over to the last lil square but the last square does look diiferent form the others. I don't know I really didn't want to start off here with this post but I'm not the guy that can afford to go drop my cart off at the shop and let them figure it out nor do I want to.

The charger may be the problem here. 20 amps is needed to correctly charge these batteries, 5 amps is not near enough. Also, perform a load test on your batteries. Hook your voltmeter to the pack, find a hill and attempt to drive up it. Note the voltage drop.

Thanks Jake, I'll post back with what the load test tells me. And I guess I'm buying a new charger. I'm sure there's a sponsor on here that sells them do you suggest anyone?

I really like my dpi. Go to sponsors and check them out. Ask them what they recommend fir your cart.

Yes, I would recommend either a DPI, or try to find a used CC charger from a member here. If you decide to buy new, no question, get a DPI.
