Unhappy 08 Precedent Not Running

Having an issue with my 08 Precedent. The cart will not run. Batteries are 2 years old and charge fine. The selenoid does not engage when the pedal is depressed. I replaced the selenoid, but still did not fix the problem. I have also checked the MCOR using a voltage test i found online where i pierced the yellow wire and monitored voltage as i pressed the pedal. It responded as described in the test. I also voltage tested the ignition and run/tow switch which both checked out fine. Could my controller be bad?

The test you performed on the MCOR is nothing more than a throttle frequency test. The two-pin connector is where you need to be testing. Unplug the two-pin connector and jump the two wires together with a paperclip. Let me know if it runs with the paper clip in place.

Additionally i did check and brush all connections.

Do you have a response from the reverse buzzer? If you do, it indicates that your controller is powered up. If you don't, the On-board computer solenoid lockout feature may have failed and is keeping the controller from powering up. Locate the on-board computer. It's the small plastic box that has the black negative wire running right through the center of it. Un-plug the six-pin connector from the OBC. On the vehicle wire harness side of the connector, make a jumper between pin 2 and pin 6, the wires are Red and Blue. If the vehicle runs with the jumper in place, the computer is bad.

Yes, reverse buzzer works. I also have voltage at the controller and on both posts for solenoid. The positive side is 51.8 and the other post is around 48 something? is that normal?

You're going to have to be more specific. Which other post?

The post on the soleniod coming from the positive battery lead has 51.8 volts. The other top post on the solenoid going to the controller has 48.2. The two little terminals on the front side with the spade connectors each have 3.2 volts when the ignition is turned on. When off no voltage.

Sounds good....

What about the voltage to the two small posts on the solenoid when you push the pedal and try to make the car run?

The readings i gave you before was with the run/tow switch in tow. I just checked again and placed to run and got 49.7 volts on both small posts. No change on either post with pedal depressed.

Are you putting the positive lead of the meter on the right and the negative lead of the meter on the left small post of the solenoid? If you're getting 49.7 volts to the solenoid coil when the pedal is depressed with the key on, and in forward, the solenoid should click. If the solenoid doesn't click when power is supplied to it, it's bad.
