club cart stops and goes

I have a 2004 48volt club cart ds that when you press the accelerator it takes off nice but once it reaches top speed it stops, I release the accelerator and press it again and it continues going. This continues throughout the entire ride, anyone has a clue whats wrong

Is your forward/reverse switch a lever or a rocker switch? If it's a rocker switch, perform this test: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...nsor-test.html

a rocker switch, could it be solenoid lockout

It could be solenoid dropout. Is this a DS or Precedent?

I have read that Revolution Golf Cars sells a harness that might help with this problem, anyone heard about this harness.

Yep, I've got one on my cart. The thing is, it was only really an issue with the first year (2002) IQ carts.

On the road at this time, as soon as I reach home tomorrow, I will try the speed sensor test and post the serial number. I appreciate the help, and it sounds like im getting started in the right direction, I will keep you updated, Thanks again Jakesnake27

Pedal travel and the micro switch may give that dropout since it clears with release of the Acc pedal,...
