Default Should I buy 2001 Club Car DS. Advise needed

I am thinking of pulling the trigger on my first Cart. Recently joined the forum, and am already asking for advice.

2001 Club Car DS
48v with Series Drive
Has seating for 4.

Cart was reconditioned in Oct 2015, about 3 months ago.

Camo body wrap
New 2ga battery cables
New batteries 48V 8- 8V Duracells
Front brush bar
2500 lb winch with remote

Lift kit package from Jakes containing
1 - Jake’s 6” Lift Kit
4 - 23x10.5x12 Desert Fox on 12” Machined/Black 12-Spoke SS Wheel
4 - Chrome Center Caps
16 - Chrome Lug Nuts
Cost $869 plus shipping

Golf Car was purchased new, 1 owner. Always been garage kept. Asking price is $3,000.00, is this a good deal?

What should I look for, when inspecting?

How is the reputation for 2001 Club Car? Is there known issues, that I will have to specifically address?

Owner said he has only had to replace batteries and cables. Due to the age of cart, what should I expect to replace in the near future? Thanks!

I plan on using it for hunting, and transporting 1-2 people in and out of semi hilly woods, mostly grass, leaves, and pine straw covered road beds. Occasionally will be driven through cow pastures, etc.

Yes there is. 2001 was the last year for the Regen II system. It was replaced by IQ in 02

I suspected as much..... The trouble with nailing down the production years is that both Ezgo and CC introduced new models mid year. By doing this they could run out the old stock and make a few more or less of the old model so they didn't get stuck with a lot of old model parts.

On a 2001 there will be a 2 digit serial number prefix to identify the drive system. Can we get the serial number posted please?

I searched all over/under the dash, couldn't find a sticker with serial number. I did find one, but it had been spray painted over.

Crawled under the buggy, and found a sticker on the inside of the passanger aluminum frame. The sticker reads as follows:

101763701
FRAME ASSEMBLY DS ELECTRIC
Serial NO. FRM1031735

Also, found a sticker on the rear axle that read

Kawasaki
M/NO MC008K0C1701
*This sticker appears to be in great shape, I thought was kind of odd, since this is an 01 model. Is this a replaced axle?

Both Leaf Springs had newer looking stickers also. They read
Part NO 1010974
made in Australia
??? Code
11328

Also on the motor on rear axle, there is a yellowish color sticker that reads "SCD".

This is all I have found for now. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I went ahead and pulled the trigger and bought this cart. I hope I did ok, I ended up getting it for $2,500.00

I would like to know some history on this cart, and I think these stickers could tell me if this rear end has been replaced.

Question, does a Jakes Spindal lift come with new leaf springs for the rear?

What about this axle, why would it have a Kawasaki axle on it? Does CC get all their axles from Kawasaki, or is this aftermarket?

Thanks for the help guys!

According to this website, I have a 2000.5 CC DS. Reason I believe this, is because of the design of my seatbacks and the top that I have. I know it is a 48V, but still don't know if it is a series or regen motor.
