Default Battery cables

I have new 2 ga battery cables and upgraded motor, controller, and 400 amp solenoid. Slight issue- the terminal end holes on end of cables are slightly too small for solenoid posts. I drilled the holes out to make the them fit, but this reduces metal around cable end hole. Is this an issue? Thanks.

Keep an eye on them, make sure they stay snug. If you only took a small amount they should work. If they seem to be getting hot, or getting loose, change them out.

You drilled a 5/16" hole out to 3/8" right? Chances are that if you had the proper lugs and compared them along side each other the OD of the lug would have been the same....

We use both 5/16 and 3/8ths lugs in our cable sets. The 3/8ths lug has a slightly larger OD
