1" lift kit?
Working on my project and I just put 12" wheels and low profile tires on it. The cart sags some and as a result, when turning or going up a hill, the tires will rub on the rear fenders. Should try replacing shocks or? if not, is there any 1" lift kit for the rear I could use to give lift to allow more clearance for the tires but not be so noticeable. I do not want to have to lift the front.
Thanks |

Re: 1" lift kit?
Shocks will not provide any lift.... They are simple dampers....

HD spring sets can add as much as 1 inch of body lift but will stiffen the ride.
Longer rear shackles will do the trick too. If I remember, make em 2 inches longer for 1 inch of lift (depending upon how mushy your springs are). |

If you're looking for 1" lift, use hockey pucks.

Re: 1" lift kit?
I'm no fabricator. Any idea where I can get the longer rear shackles?

Re: 1" lift kit?
Seen 1" lift kits on E-Bay for $100.00. Comes with 1" block for the front and longer shackles for the rear. I'd check there to start

Re: 1" lift kit?
I made my own extended shackles for the 1" of lift I needed. I used a piece of flat steel 16"x2" cut it in to two 8" pieces then cut them in to 1" bars drilled the holes using the old shackles as a template. Haven't had any rubbing issues since. I got the flat steel at the local Ace Hardware. Whole job took less than an hour and I only spent about 9 bucks.
