Question about electric motor
I've got an 04 Precedent IQ with the original motor, controller, solenoid etc.
My batteries are new and I just upgraded my cables to 2 AWG. My A2 post on my motor is loose and has a lot of wiggle in it. After looking at the parts breakdown I would expect that the insulator bushing needs to be replaced on the inside of the motor. Should I just assume the brushes and springs should also be replaced while I'm in there? I'm not real knowledgeable when it comes to electric motors. Is there anything else that I should take notice of while I have it open? Thanks in advance for your help. |

Re: Question about electric motor
While you have it off, just send it to PQ and let them upgrade it. You will like it a lot better.

Re: Question about electric motor
I've been kind of thinking about that. It would keep me out of the motor. A lot of the time I seem to find a way to create more work for myself when I try to do something I don't know much about.
