Even the newer club cars use 2 prong for 36V? i thought the 2 prong was only for old carts.

If its a round plug, its a 48v, with a OBC.... If the plug has only 2 prongs (/ \) , its 36v... Its the only way Club Car made them.... I, unfortunately, have seen old 36v cars hacked into 48v cars by "shops" tho. Club car hasnt made "golf mobiles" in 36v for a long time (i dont know if they make industrial vehicles in 36v still- warehouse trucks, ect) . Ezgo did for ever (36v slowly going away), Yamaha not so much in industrial stuff.

CC continued to produce inexpensive 36v resistor coil carts until 2004. These carts all had the crowfoot receptacle and 6/6v batteries.
Many of these carts (1981-2003) have been converted to 48v with a solid state kit and 48v crowfoot charger. Occasionally you may see one of these.
