I'm not sure there is one. They operate off the OBC so if you are going to bypass the OBC and not use it, you will have to monitor the charger as it will not shut off and you will have to manually cut it off.

They do not have built in components to allow them to work like automatic chargers do.

Thanks for your prompt response. I'm sure there is a way to redesign the charger to incorporate the circuitry that's contained in the automobile 12 volt and the 36 and 48 volt smart chargers, whether or not I'm lucky enough to find an electrical engineer whose done this as a DIY project and who wants to share is another issue! Ha!

I have a 95-03 DS Series cart with the new DPI charger that bypasses the obc. I took the yellow wire off the negative side of the solenoid and ran it to the B- on my Alltrax sr48600 and ran the black wire from the main charging port to the main negative post on the battery. My cart will not move unless I touch the yellow wire back to the solenoid? Any suggestions. thanks

Make sure the yellow wire from the solenoid small post goes to Controller B- and not M-.

I did. Do I unhook any other wires to kill the OBC and maybe that would make the solenoid engage?

Do I maybe undo the fuse or the ground cable going through the OBC?

Unless you forgot to connect the cable from pack negative to controller B-, You have other problems unrelated to the OBC.

Measure the voltage from the pack positive battery post to Controller B-, it should be pack voltage.

If You do get pack voltage, please explain in more details this comment:

Yes. From the positive pack to B- is 57.7 volts. The yellow wire on the negative side of the solenoid that is moved to B- is what I put back on to engage the solenoid.

Are You saying if that wire goes from the solenoid small post directly to controller B- the Solenoid does not engage?

But the Solenoid engages if the wire goes from the solenoid small post to the OBC...

If so, I am stumped
