98 Party Time DS
I am new to this site and hoping to get some help with the wiring on my 1998 Club Car DS. My first golf cart project and I'm excited about turning my CC from plain to awesome.

98 Party Time DS
I'm in big trouble. I bought a 1998 36V Electric DS that worked ok before I took it apart. I took the body off for paint and I thought I would do some upgrades in the wiring. When I got the cart it only had two speeds. Low and High.
Someone in the past has done some upgrade and I don't think it was done correctly. I tried to find a diagram online that matched and nothing matched. Here is a list of the parts on the cart. GE 5BC49JB1115 Motor 1016109-01 V-Glide 1204-027 FSIP Controller 586-117111 White and Rodgers Solenoid 6 inch lift with 23X10.50-12 Wheels and Tires All of the diagrams I have seen show 3 micro switches on the FWD/REV switch and some that come close show an OBC that I don't have. I have only one and appearance wise, all it ever had. Do you have a diagram that I can use? Seems like I'm missing something or what I have isn't compatible. I'm open for recommendations as long as they don't break the bank. My wife says I've already spent too much and given me a deadline to finish. She wants it for Mardi Gra parade starting the 5th of Feb. I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me. |

Re: 98 Party Time DS
look at the serial number it may not be a 98
36v does not have a OBC 98 has the three micro switches here is the wiring diagram |

Also missing a diode across the small posts of the solenoid.

Re: 98 Party Time DS
Since the F+R s/w pictured doesn't have the necessary cams for a 3 micro s/w set, my guess would be someone put in the wrong F+R s/w and made the cart work without a reverse alarm or half speed reverse.

Re: 98 Party Time DS
Was there ever any resolution to this? I just picked up a 88 club car, it has a series motor and looks like someone did upgrades incorrectly because it appears to be set up as a 36V V-Glide and the coils have been removed.

Re: 98 Party Time DS
I sold him a solenoid, diode, and an F&R switch on Feb 12th and haven't heard from him. I'm guessing it took care of his issues.

Not trying to highjack but I might be getting similar from you myself. I checked out your site and looks good. I'm brand new to this so I'm doing all the reading I can.
