Default Question for those with 1268 and PQ Executioner

Wondering how much torque is sacrificed with that motor and 1268 combo and if the guys at PQ provide controller mapping settings. I have talked to the guy who deals with the motors at PQ (forget his name) but I guess his brother is the one who deals with the controllers because he didnt know much about that aspect and I cant get a hold of him to talk personally. From what I hear it takes quite a while to get up to 30mph if the controller is mapped correctly. I am curious if anyone has installed this combo and what kind of results they get.

The Curtis 1268 is fully programmable, so it has infinite motor maps.

The issue is that it takes a knowledgeable person, with the correct equipment, to field configure the controller for the specific cart and application.

When properly done, the end result is better than a pre-configured motor map because it takes in consideration the entire system including final gear ratio/tires/terrain, etc.

If Plum Quick is configuring the controller, they may have some static settings they can install that would be equivalent to what you would get from a pre-configured motor field map.

Sergio I am looking for the program data for the executioner PQ motor basically. Every motor has a different map and its easy to burn one up, or not get the full potential of it with the wrong settings. I have a programmer but am just used to the regular club car parameters which are nothing compared to what you can do with the 1268.

I would contact FSIP, since you bought the controller from them and see if they can communicate with PQ and figure out what the correct settings would be. They may have already done this in the past and may already have them.
