Question time for new batteries - which ones?

I have a 48v with a Bandit motor upgrade, I have stock controller.

Currently using T-105's make that T-875's

I understand there is another trogan battery with high capacity.

Also what upgade for a controller gets the best value with the Bandit motor?

Any recommendation?

We'll need a little clarification. T-105s are 6v batteries. Did you make a mistake or are you using eight 6v batteries?

Yep, 6 T-875's

I was reading

Trojan’s NEW Traveler™ 8V long-life golf car battery delivers 40% longer life and features Trojan’s patent-pending Internal Battery Protection System (IBP System) for better performance.

Trojan’s Ranger™ 160 long-range battery golf and electric vehicle battery delivers 35% more travel time between recharging, enabling consumers to embark on longer excursions.

Did your current battery give you adequate travel distance? If yes then there really is no use in going to batteries with larger capacity.

I got my Trojan Rangers last week, so far so good, but it will be a few more weeks before I can make a "final" thought process. So far they have not drained down below 78% on my 25+ mile daily commute.

I have used the 875, interstate, and some others through the years and have had great luck with all. Never used the rangers but they are pricey. When I called aronund here in nj nobody carried them and some have never heard of them either.
Sometimes you get what you pay for. If you search you fill find many discussions about them. Good luck.

I'd never so much as rode in a golf cart till I moved to TN near to 2 years ago but where we live it is so hilly that I'm not sure if I could get much more 15 miles due to the hills and having standard cap batteries and a hot motor & controller... But I sure do enjoy the quite simplicity that an electric cart provides no radio and a couple beers in the cup holders....

Around here that's par.......The Villages

Why do some of you guys upgrade the controller to 400-500 amps, for speed or distance, asking why it's worth a few hundred bucks
