02 Club Car DS Won't Charge
Have an 02 cc that won't charge, tried bypassing the OBC at charger and receptacle to no avail. Can hear the charger kick on, however, the amp meter never moves. I tried the charger on a similar cart and it worked fine. Voltage across the 6 8v batteries is just under 48v, any suggestions?

Re: 02 Club Car DS Won't Charge
If all you did was bypass the relay inside the charger and the sense wire, both methods just bypass the charger activation circuit.
You need to run a new 12 gauge wire from the back of the charger receptacle negative wire directly to pack negative battery post. That will bypass the OBC current control circuit. |

Re: 02 Club Car DS Won't Charge
Thanks for your reply. I tried bypassing both the grey and black wire to the neg side of the battery pack and didn't get any change in the amp meter?

Re: 02 Club Car DS Won't Charge
The DS receptacle has a fuse on the black wire, if the charger works on another cart, and since you bypassed the OBC, the fuse is bad.

Where is the fuse located?

Re: 02 Club Car DS Won't Charge
You can measure the + and - on the charger receptacle sockets, You should get pack voltage with the by-pass in place (negative wire).
If the voltage is 0v, here is a diagram of the charger receptacle showing the fuse: |
