2007 IQ Precedent battery tray and 8v conversion ?
My neighbor across town has a 2007 IQ Precedent that need batteries. It currently has 12v batteries (150AH) in it. If we convert to 6-8v batteries will we have to cut his tray like the sticky post or does this cart have a tray that holds either 12v or 8v batteries?
Second question. The cart has 4-12v (150AH) batteries. Most 8v batteries around me local are 165AH. Will a 15AH gain be offset by the weight increase of the 6-8v batteries? In other words, is the conversion worth it to go from 150AH to 165AH and added weight? Cart is stock and used for golf only. |

Re: 2007 IQ Precedent battery tray and 8v conversion ?
The 12v battery is a 1.8 KwH battery. The 8v is a 1.32KwH battery. So with 4 12v batteries you wind up with a total of 7.2 KwH. With 6 8v batteries you have a total of 7.92 KwH. It looks like in your case it would be a wash.
