Help: Club Car DS Brake tooth mechanism adjustment
Sorry for title, as I know that is not the correct name, but not sure how else to describe it.
I am upgrading my 2000 DS to a MCOR4. I took the old MCOR off and installed the new Brake/Gas pivot rod. What i didn't do is make a mark or note of how to reinstall the brake tooth mechanism, the part that locks the brakes when you press the brake peddle down. Any advise on how to align it correctly on the spline pivot rod? See image below. Thanks in advance for the help, it is greatly appreciated. Re: Help: Club Car DS Brake tooth mechanism adjustment
There is a toothed , rotating assembly which has a return spring on the bottom of the brake. When U press the parking brake one of the teeth is supposed to lock into place.
The spring returns the ratcheted tooth from the locking mech. and U'r ready to go. Make sure on the bottom that the the locking park tooth is aligning with its counter part. If it has too much play or wobble , it could miss the ratchet http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...tml#post520269 |
