Default 95 CC DS bypassed OBC- Do I need to remove OBC?

With Sergio's help I successfully bypassed my OBC and am awaiting my DPI Accusense charger to arrive. The cart runs in F and R fine. Sergio said to remove the OBC after I bypass it to avoid possible drain. He said there was a plug to disconnect but i don't see anything but a gray conduit and it is directly wired to terminals on the Controller. It looks like the OBC is connected via two wires to the Controller, a brown and black wire. the brown wire looks like it has a disconnect spade connector. I already disconnect the small yellow wire from solenoid. Is it best to just leave it as is?

Here is my setup.

The Yellow, Red and Brown wires from the OBC should have been connected to a 3-pin connector.

It looks like someone has altered the wiring, but in any event, the important wire to make sure is disconnected is the Red wire going to the OBC.

The Red wire powers the OBC, so disconnecting it will prevent the OBC from using any power.

The 3 pin plug didn't come out until late 97. At that time, the OBC became flush mounted in a mounting panel along with the controller. The OBC in the photo is a 101800606 and was hardwired into the system. It never had a plug. It can easily be removed though. If the yellow wire has already been replaced with the new wire, just remove the obc and all wiring coming from the OBC harness can be disconnected. It'll all come out in one piece.

Sergio, will it be OK to plug in my DPI charger for NON OBC carts even if it is still connected with those OBC wires left connected?

For those who don't know, Sergio helped me bypass the OBC here: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ed-moving.html

Yes that will be OK.

Since You have already by-passed the controller lockout (yellow wire) and the Current control (negative from charger receptacle directly to pack negative), the OBC no longer does anything and it is just taking up space.
