Loading Ramps
So is there an issue using the "atv" ramps they sell everywhere to load a golf cart? I just purchased some longer aluminum ones because i have a stock height 4x4 duelly. But the description on the box states not intended for golf carts. I cant imagine a golf cart weighs more than a big ol 700 4x4 four wheeler? What are you all using and what are your thoughts on this?? Thanks

Some say it's because in a golf cart the weight isn't centered. Your off to the left behind the wheel. If that's the case have your wife ride in the passenger seat. Maybe it's because of viability. I noticed when my son loads his ATV he'll get up on the pegs to get a better view of the wheels to stay on track. My 2 cents.

mine is 1160 lbs without my 215 lbs butt on it . A lot of straight ramps with stock cart bottom out on the tailgate, longer curved ramps work much better

Most of the ATV ramps I've ever seen people try to use are too narrow and they bend terribly when trying to load a golf cart on them.

I bought Lund aluminum folding arched ramps from summit racing. They weren't cheap but they work great and each ramp will hold 750lbs (so 1500lbs for the set).
The arched ones keep the cart from dragging on the tailgate. |
