Need pic of F/R wiring for electric 1993 Club Car DS
Does anybody have a picture of the correct F/R wiring for an electric 1993 club car DS? Obviously new here and have no knowledge about carts. There are 6 wires that I'd like to check to see if they are in the correct spot. There is a white with a black stripe, red with white stripe, solid white, green with white stripe, orange, black. Thank you in advance. I looked but I could not find on this site. I could text somebody a pic of how mine is currently wired.

Sounds like you're looking at the micro-switches. What is the voltage of your cart?
Wiring diagrams can be found in the "Stickies" at the top of this section. to BGW . |

Counting from the m/s closest to the body of the F+R switch-
m/s 1-white/black tracer and green/white tracer m/s 2-red/white tracer and orange m/s 3-solid white and solid black . |

They were wired correctly. Problem is the cart will go if you depress the gas pedal only about half way. If you depress all the way, the cart shuts off. On the other hand, the reverse works....and is actually faster than it used to be in reverse.

Sounds like a problem with the multi-step pot (sometimes called a V-glide). Do you have a digital test meter?

No, but I can get one. What do I need to test? What does it look like?

With an electric cart, a digital meter is a must. It doesn't need to be a fancy one. I do almost all my troubleshooting with a cheap Harbor Freight meter.
The multi-step pot is the black pie wedge shaped looking thing mounted on top of the frame rail under the driver's side of the seat. The first test will be on the black and white wires that come out of it. I am going have to leave pretty soon, but there lots of guys here that can keep you going. . |

To test the V-Glide, locate the motor controller and locate the small white wire and small black wire that are plugged into the controller. They have female blade connectors on them. These are the throttle wires from the V-Glide. Unplug them from the controller and insert the leads of your multimeter into the ends of these wires. Polarity is not important. With the meter set to 20K ohms, F&R switch in Forward, and keyswitch on, the meter should read 0 at zero throttle and 5000 ohms at full throttle. Let me know what you get.

Found it. There are 2 white wires, one black, and one green with white stripe coming out of it.
