Default 94 club car DS

A friend of mine has a 94 club car DS 36 volt. The batteries seem to be ok, but when you run around the block one time it wants to die. The pack is at 40.8 a hour after charging. I will check it again tomorrow. batteries are 2 years old.
The cart was acting up a little. like drive to our clubhouse walk the dog then go to leave and nothing like no power. just like the key was off. Is it possible that the solenoid is going bad? maybe it is intermittent.
just trying to help a friend. after batteries what should I look for.

Could be a variety of things. Is the cart all stock? Meaning has anything been changed or upgraded?
