Default New to Golf Carts HOW TO

My buddy and i just recently purchased 2 club car ds 48 volt carts. they each run around 15 mph give or take. I heard that by disabling the regen system it will increase the speed is this true and if so how do i do it? I know this topic is probably already on here but dont know. Please help and any help would be appreciated.
