Default 04 club car ds installing 600a madjax controller

Please help. So I have a 2004 club car DS. I bought this madjax 600 amp controller. I had to buy this specific wiring harness that supposedly is for Presidente and DS models. The wiring harness is also used to attach the on the fly programmer. Which is the only reason I think I need it. Because my car does not have the 16 pin plug like the Presidente. So I'm assuming I just don't have that plug. My dilemma is on the madjax controller there is an F1 and F2 that basically gets wired to the Forward and reverse switch. On the Presidente model it's a piece a cake. They have installation instructions and everything matches right up. On my DS factory controller, it has 1,2, and 3. Two of them seem to go to the forward and reverse switch, and then one goes to the speed potentiometer I believe. Anyway has anyone had any experience trying to put this controller on a club car DS not a Presidente? If so please respond and tell me how you did it? Was I right about the 16 pin plug that doesn't exist for this order basic controller? And how do I wire the 1,2, and 3 spade plugs into the F1 and F2 of this new controller?

I am afraid You bought the wrong controller, it sounds like you have a Series cart.

What is the Serial Number of Your DS?

Sorry, but that controller will not work with Your setup at all, You would need to get a new motor, harness and FNR switch.

So this controller will not work on my car if it is a series car? I hope that is not the case. I just spent over $1000 for all the stuff.

Well I appreciate your response. Do you have any idea what the best controller would be for my cart? Something equivalent to this one that I just bought?

That's rough. Contact the seller and explain what happened. Maybe they can hook you up with an exchange for something that will work.

We have site sponsors that read these threads, but typically when they recommend a controller, they take in consideration the size/type tires, lift installed, back seat, the intended use, the terrain you drive and Your expectations for performance.

If You can fill in some of that information it will help one of the experts on Series carts give You a recommendation.

Typically the following information is needed to recommend a proper fit. If the seller is not asking these questions it is up to you the buyer to know the answers.

What make and year is the cart?
Series or sepex drive system?
What size tires are on the cart?
How many people ride on the cart?
Cargo Box or trailer?
Is the electrical system 36 or 48 volts?
What top speed is desired?
Is the used on or off the road?
Is the terrain hilly? If yes, steep or mild hills?
Is the footing sandy or muddy?
