Default How bad did I screw up...

When learning something new, you are bound to learn from your mistakes. How expensive was my mistake? Hooked up the new controller, solenoid, reverse contractor with the new cables and the only thing left to work on was wiring the microswitch so I put the main negative and positive wires on to go 'live' to throw a charge on the batteries. I was still trying to position wires around to put the body back on and without even thinking about it went to tighten the big positive terminal on the solenoid and then poof... big spark and smoke, putting me on my rear end. I have a feeling this is not just a matter of, wipe off the soot from the chemical reaction and try again, I imagine I had to have done some damage. Would this be contained to just a burned up solenoid or would the current travel to other components like the OBC and controller?

After that I decided it was time to shut it down for the day lol. I can say after all this I've learned my lesson! I can throw a voltmeter on there tomorrow but I figured to go ahead and get an idea of what to expect in terms of replacements from people who are knowledgeable instead of more errors learning. Thanks all!

Hey I have seen this accident before - The negative activation wire ( now missing from the burnt connector) was touching the main B+ terminal.
The damage may not be great.
