Default 36v motor terminal question

when my cart is going forward what terminals have pos+ going to it and what terminals have neg- .im guessing since there is 4 wires goin to the motor 2 are pos+ and 2 are neg-? im new to electic carts and need all the help i can get

Why do you want to know ? What are you trying to do? There are wiring diagrams for most electric carts at the top of this section

ive been looking at the wiring diagrams and they dont really tell me what i want to know. i guess the best way i can explain it is im kinda trying to bench test the motor in a half *** way and i need to know what terminals need to be pos and neg to make the cart go forward without messing the motor up

Do this with low voltage ! Motor will jump somewhat.

if i bench test it wired up that way can i put a full load on the motor without fryin anything? i plan on testing it in the cart driving down the road

what would happen if i do test it at 36and/or 48v? ( you said test it at low voltage)

I don't know? It is only a test.....Why not get a wiring diagram for your cart from the top of this section and wire your cart as shown? Then drive it down the street??

that would be the smart and easy way to do it.... but like everything else i do it needs to be the hardest way i can think of and i need to do it a$$ backwards i just cant help it
