Default Arced between armature and feild winding post!03 iq 48 ds

Ok installing jakes lift and taking wires loose arced between white armature and blue feild winding post now motor spins every once in a while but mostly seems like it's phasing wrong(jerkes from forward to reverse) . Checked motor .2 ohms between armature posts. 2.4 ohms between feild windings. Seem a little high? Open between posts to motor case. Ran out of time las night going to plug in hand set tonight and see what I can see.

Any one seen this before any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hope this posts in the right spot.

You've ruined the controller. It happens every time there is an arc between those two motor posts.

On the bright side - you have created an immediate need for a controller upgrade to match your lift and wheels

I think we've all done it once. Think of it as an upgrade opportunity

This is a question that has been heavily debated. Consensus is if you are enjoying improved performance the cart is consuming more amperage... by the same logic if you are driving along at the same speed as always the consumption should be the same whether your connected to a 200 or a 700 amp control.
Additionally - if you have recently put a lift and larger tire on the cart you have increased the rear end gear ratio which increased the motor load which increases the amperage consumption.
