I used a hammer, my knees, pulled on it, and it wouldn't budge.

So I sprayed it with WD40 rust penetrant and three seconds later it popped right off with no force necessary.

I took off the nut and used a heat gun around the shaft and it popped right off.

I pulled mine off by hand. It's on there good but I gave it a good yank and it came off.

Fast removal method that i use is an air hammer tool with the punch tool attachment. loosen the nut to the top of the stem, apply PB blaster and let it soak for a few minutes. place the air punch in the steering stem hole and while pulling up on the steering wheel with one hand, use the air hammer to the center. Be careful, the steering wheel pops off quickly sometimes.. I leave the nut on the threads because sometimes the air hammer will mushroom the shaft if you dont.
