Brake assembly
Should the brake assembly just slide off or do I need to loosen any of the bolts? ThanksImageUploadedByTapatalk1458250019.327806.jpg

Re: Brake assembly
The drum should slide off as long as your brakes are free and are not sticking. Loosen up the brake cables underneath the car if you feel that they're too tight. It may take a little persuasion from a hammer. Hit around the drum in a circular motion and it should free it up. There's nothing holding it on.

Rear passenger brake no longer locks up! I loosened the brake quite a bit after cleaning. Probably too much but I can tighten it the next time I have a day off. Putting the clip back on is a real challenge. I had trouble even budging the spring so I just left the pads on to sand and clean.

Re: Brake assembly
the secret to the clip is needle nose pliers
to install the retaining clips, you need to hold the pin from the back of the drum, and make it point as far out as possible. push the retaining clip in and let the pin go through the hole Then using needle nose pliers , grab the pin and twist it will pop in place |

Re: Brake assembly
I had my 11yo son push on the clip with a screw driver to compress it while I held on to the pin from the back and used the needle nose pliers to twist it.
