Alltrax xct install
06 cc ds regen sepex. Plum quick bandit motor.
Putting in controller last week. Scotty has been a help, but can only do so much over phone. Taking wires off old controller, i noticed they new wire kit instructiond had me put wires on differently. Ie F1 goes to b+ but it came off M. Had some questions on a few of the smaller 10 guage wires as well, there is one that comes from charging port, goes into obc, then out to a stud, the stud wire then carries onto B terminal. All in all with new solenoid, obc stud kit, controller installed, the cart wont take a charge, or it wont kick the charger on, se ond prob is it goes reverse when toggle is forward and vice versa. I have not plugged in a laptop to play with software settings. I will attach a pic of the random bolt (stock) circled in green, it does something with the charger from obc, so i bolted it to b+ which is where it was bolted too. |

Re: Alltrax xct install
You don't have a battery negative cable going through the obc from main pack negative post. The charger will not work without it. It goes through where that stud is. If you cable is too large to fit through the hole you can use a copper or brass stud through the hole in the obc. Do not try to enlarge the hole, it is a sensor, you will destroy the obc if you do. Most people put the cable through and then put an end on the cable. I was able to pull mine out far enough to solder the end on before I connected the other end.

Like I said in the email the cable #5 in the kit goes from this end of the obc stud shown to controller B-. I wonder what is connected to the other end of the obc stud? It should connect to battery main negative See diagram attached |

Re: Alltrax xct install
Well shut my mouth!
Follow Scottyb diagram. The stud looked like a steel bolt to me. Sorry. That one black cable coming off the negative block looks like it has burned and melted the covering. Anyone else see that.? |

Re: Alltrax xct install
That was a pre scotty wiring kit install. The new wires are all in place, no confusion with scottys numbering system there. Ill change the f wires to fix the fwd rev issue. On the other side of obc stud is the 6 wire , running from obc to neg post on pack. .
On the solenoid i have pos from pack on pos terminal neg goes to b+.. there was also a small 12 guage wire that was on pos, so i put that on pos of new solenoid. The light blue and blue white stripe are connected as is the diode. I dont know what pieces could affect the charger not coming on. If any of the troubleshooters need a picture ill post Thx again, really need to get this back together, wife might be losing faith in my repair ability B |

Re: Alltrax xct install
There is no such thing a 'positive' and 'negative' on a solenoid, whatever goes in one side comes out the other when the solenoid opens. So changing wires around because you didn't want something to be on the 'negative' post is wrong, you just put it on the always hot side instead of the switched side.

Re: Alltrax xct install
For the charger issue, Take 2 quick voltage readings to make sure the wires are connected properly:
From Pack Negative to positive socket on charger receptacle = Pack Voltage You probably mis-typed this: Quote:
