Key Switch / Headlight Question
My 2013 Precedent has a madjax light kit, installed by dealer when I bought it. I want to replace my key switch with a unique key switch. I know that does not make it exremely secure but there are a lot of carts in my neighborhood so there are also plenty of kids with club car keys. In addition to replacing with a unique key I would like to also control the lights with it like what I've seen on EZGO's. Is this possible and if so where can I get the switch. I'm would like to have they type key switch in the attachment

Re: Key Switch / Headlight Question
What's the power source for the lights? I'm guessing you're going to need a relay.

Re: Key Switch / Headlight Question
Here's a post I made in a different thread. I bought a 3 position Harley Davidson Dyna style barrel key for about $15 on eBay. In full disclosure, I haven't installed it yet since I'm still waiting for the legend plate to arrive, but I don't see the need for a relay. A voltage reducer would seem more likely. I'll find out soon enough when I tear into the project.

Re: Key Switch / Headlight Question
Some voltage reducers have a trigger wire, some don't.

Re: Key Switch / Headlight Question
There is a relay already installed for the lights. With the lights off find the wire on the light switch that doesn't have voltage on it. Remove it and connect it to the third contact on the key switch.
