Accessory Fuse Block ---Where to mount it
I am getting ready to install an accessory battery in the bag well of my 2004 Precedent to run lights, stereo, power points and some underbody LED's.
My issue is finding a good spot to mount the Blue Sea 5025 6 circuit fuse block (with neg bus). I want to put this somewhere that is easily serviceable yet out of the way. I was looking at under the control cover (4- 12V system) on the front wall next to the OBC, but it doesn't look real easy to service or add circuits. Does anyone have any ideas of where I can put this? At this point, I'm thinking about "boxing" in the bagwell and have the accessory battery and the fuse block there. Any help would be appreciated. |

I have a 12 Accessory Battery and blue sea circuit fuse block.
What I did was use an auto craft j bolt battery hold down to tie the battery down. The bolt is actually long that it comes up over the Accessory battery when holding down the battery. Went to home depot and bought a flat T bracket and mounted the blue sea to the T bracket using 3 holes. Did not have to drill anything on the T bracket. The remaining hole on the T Bracket fits down onto one of the J bolts for the battery tie down. There are 2 nuts on the J Bolt that I used to adjust the height of the T bracket that has the Blue sea bolted to it. Basically the blue sea rides horizontally on top of the battery. Provides easy access to the fuse block. I will try to get a picture... Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Re: Accessory Fuse Block ---Where to mount it
I would recommend you put it closest to most of the loads, or where you want them controlled from, to help minimize wire runs.
For instance. I am about to add one behind my dash as I have a few things that will be controlled from there. |
