Default LED Light Kit Ampacity?

Anybody know how many amps this light kit requires at 12v? Part number is LGT-356E12L. I can't seem to find any manufacturer name or specifications when web surfing for the info.

15 amp is what I have. It just seems like overkill. I'm doing a re-wire and am hoping to use a small converter that I have laying around (5 amp 48v-12v) & use it dedicated to the lights. I have a 30a converter already in place but I want the headlights on a separate key position than the rest of the accessories.

I can jumper wire it to the 30 amp controller and put the clamp meter to it to find the draw before I try the 5 amp. Just thought it would be quicker and easier to find the specs for the light kit on the web. Guess I was wrong...again.

Those appear to be LED lights your 5 amp converter should do just fine. Likely no more than 2 amps at 12 volts.

Agree with mrgolf. Probably >2 amps max. Check it to be sure.....you'll find it's very little.

The main light may draw more than 2 amps. That would be 24W.

Well, here's what I know...they work just fine on the 5amp converter. Here's what I still don't know...how many amp they pull. Neither of my clamp meters does DC amps, so I just had to commit and give it a whirl. Wired in a 3amp ATC type fuse inline before making final connections just be be safe and let them run for a while with no problems. All seemed well, so I'm going to call it a success. On to the next part of the project I go!
