Default Tightening of motor electric studs

Hello I was reading an old post explaining how the tightening the solenoid studs is the same as the tightening of the motor studs - I totally understand the double wrench system for the terminal but on my motor I noticed the nuts that tighten the stud itself to the motor body were not really good and tight, so I "snugged" them and then double wrench tightened the terminals - is over tightening the stud nut to the body or brushes as critical as the solenoid stud tightening ? Thanks, Mike (hopefully be new this question is allowed)

there are no dumb questions
you have to be careful when tightening the nut to the brush stud so it won't pull the wire off ,
i only tighten it when i have the motor off and can see i didn't fudge it up

You do not want the stud to rotate and you don't want to strip the threads.

One trick that works when the motor is out is to cut a slot in the end of the stud.

Insert a screwdriver in the slot when tightening the bottom nut. When the torque of the wrench starts to over power the screwdriver, you're done.
