Just installed PQ Bandit
My motor arrived today and i was able to sneak away for a little and install it. I completed the install from underneath as I didn't feel the need to remove the rear seat and body like I have seen in a few videos.
Install time 25 minutes, only issue was my old motor had smaller field posts and the new motor has all larger posts on the connections. I was not prepared for that so temporarily I cut the circle on the connector making it horse show shaped. Performance: (ds iq cart with lift and 23's) prior to the motor swap the cart would top out at 21, it would reach the 18 quickly and creep up to 21. With the bandit it will reach 21/22 quickly and creep up to 25. Overall I am happy with the motor, the speed is what I was expecting. I feel the torque hasn't changed at all although It's hard to tell factually. I think a controller is going to have to be my next investment to get the torque to increase. I got lucky and they had a motor built and ready to roll, I ordered it Friday and installed today in south Florida! Thanks, Barry Overall |

Re: Just installed PQ Bandit
Update after 50 miles. Couldn't be happier with the motor. I couldn't feel the torque increase but now that I have had my wife and two kids on the cart and it still does 25mph I am thinking the torque has increased to keep that top speed. Obviously not the fastest motor out there but for $300 total cost out of pocket I think it's a great investment for anyone who can't decide...
Wish I would have done it sooner. |

Re: Just installed PQ Bandit
Unless you just want to spend money you don't need a new controller. It won't make that much of an improvement. Now if you had hills to climb it would be a different story.

Yeah, hills in florida? ANT HILLS! Good to hear on the motor. $300 isn't that steep to drop for a smile! Thanks for the review!
