Default Rear Seat advice

I have a 2008 Club Car Precedent that I will be adding a rear seat to. Was gonna get one that uses the factory roof supports and allows stock basket to remain in place. However, it seems that the seat will definitely sit back further by going this route. I was wondering if anyone had any pros/cons of going with a rear seat that uses factory roof supports vs. a rear seat that does not. I would think the overall length of the cart will be longer by using the factory roof supports. Thanks in advance!

I don't have a point of reference for factory roof supports but I can provide feedback on aftermarket. I bought my precedent with a mad jax rear seat kit and extended top. It all seems to squeak lot. I don't have that nice quiet ride everybody seems to enjoy in an electric cart.

I just installed a madjax kit on my 2006 precedent and couldn't be happier. I looked at other types of seats but preferred the overall look of the lower backrest and shorter overall length of the cart by using the replacement roof supports. Kept the original top and have no squeaks or noises at all.

We installed the Steeleng ( site sponsor ) rear seat for Club Car Precedent on our 2006 .
This allows the use of the original roof drain rear supports how ever does raise the seat somewhat. We like it for the additional ground clearance

The real difference is if you want a flip seat or just a rear seat. IMO Mad Jax seats are very over priced compared with what you get with other kits. There is little difference in the actual seat itself. And for an option most will rarely use, spending the extra coin doesn't make that big of a difference.

Are your seats white or buff? Trying to tell the difference?
Thanks
