Default '09 Club car precedent

I have an 09 48v club car precedent. Something is going on with the cart. With a full charge on the batteries, my cart will only run a little over half speed. What could be causing this?

Are you sure the batteries are fully charged?

More than like the speed sender is bad. Order a new one from David Hicks at www.revolutiongolfcars.com not a cheapo from eBay as those are made in China and fail quickly. Below is a sticky topic about testing the sender....

Always check the battery voltage on each individual battery looking for a battery that has an internal short...this can be done with a good multimeter and you do NOT have to remove any wires to check individual battery voltages...just put your multimeter in each battery's neg. and pos. And make sure they all test the same...if not there is some issue.
