The green cart has metal caps on axle, 2002 or early 2003. Looking at seats and top also.

That green cart is going to be anywhere from 2000.5 to 2004. It came from the factory with the roof and seats how they are. CC manufactured the Series 48v carts for a few years with the new roof and seats before phasing the system out in favor of the IQ system

Pull the key switch panel and look for a second serial number sticker there

so Purple cart has push button F/R and bad GE controller is that a power drive? I need to find controller I tested and it has bad feild driver.

Green cart manual F/R handle curtis controller is that a series cart?

I like the series carts myself...less components and they can be fast as heck...

Yep, they are both 2001. Powerdrive is actually a term that Club Car gives to its 48v charging systems. There is PD, PD2, and PD3. Yes the green one is a series and the purple is a sepex. Probably a Regen II, since the IQ system didn't come out until 2002. I like sepex, just because the series system seems cumbersome to me, with the FR switch doing the directional switching. A sepex system has fewer heavy amp wires, therefore less failure points, IMO. Hope this helps.

Did they have the single seat back in 2001, also the top is newer style, when did they start them.? I'm learning. At least I knew the wheel caps on the front were older than late 2003.

Yes the single seat backs/new roofs began in 2000.5.

As Jake said, Powerdrive is what CC calls their 48v charging systems. It is also the name for the 48v Series drive systems. The cart with the lever F-R is the Powerdrive 48v system. The cart with the rocker switch F-R is the Regen 2 system
