'98 DS speed issues?
Being this is my first post, Howdy y'all!
I recently purchased a 48 volt '98 ds and I have a concern reguarding the speed of the cart. I was told at the time when I purchased the cart that the motor was "aftermarket" I don't feel that is the case but something has defiantly been tampered with. The car is pretty frickin fast, especially down hill. I'm not positive of the speed but I would quess at least 20-25 mph and does not seem to be reaching any type of "peak". Going up hill the cart seems to perform as any other electric cart and on a flat surface its far above average.
Is there anything on the cart that could be not working properly which is allowing the motor to spin with no limit?
Are there any other negative effects of this?

Re: '98 DS speed issues?
I had the same cart with a series setup it will run strong but I also had put in high speed gears so on the flats I was getting 29mph...I think I read that overspending going downhill was an issue so I always kept the speed under control downhill by braking...
