Default Alltrax - Issue or normal?

During the course of trying to pinpoint the cause of random errors with a SPM 48500 on a new install, I found some discrepancies with voltage readings physically read and the ones monitor was displaying. Also when I had Alltrax tech support on the phone, they were questioning the labeling of the alarm points in their monitor software.

My question for some of you Alltrax users is if you have ever measured the voltage on B+ and B- and compared that to what is showing in monitor? During a time when I was getting pre-charge errors, I was measuring 49.2 volts (using a Fluke 87) and monitor was showing 48.4. System voltage at that time was 51.2 measured across the battery which corresponded to my panel meter in the cart as well. There was a 2.0 voltage drop across the pre-charge resistor.

The cart with no wiring changes has mysteriously started working after temporarily jumpering out the resistor (at least for now) and this evening I re-took the measurements and my measurements now match exactly what the monitor is displaying. All the connections are tight, no heat buildup.

The other question I have is concerning the labeling of the flags. When I called tech support it was to work on a pre-charge alarm. When I got them on the phone, I started getting a low voltage alarm (blink code) They had me look at monitor and my labeling showed 'low' checked. It didn't say what was low, just low. Monitor showed the the voltage reading within normal limits (but lower than actually present at the terminals) Alltrax said it would say something else but all that is written into the software or firmware.

Another question, when I engage my solenoid while viewing in monitor, I a blue shutdown but it is working. Cart is working today but it still starts glowing blue. Do any of you get the same? (see image)

Anyway, compare my images to yours and see if you error flag labels correspond to yours. Specifically 'high' and 'low'?

On another note, I have included capture screens of some other settings as well. This evening using my phone gps app (don't know if it is accurate, I got 28.8 MPH going down a small incline. But going back up, maybe closer to half of that. Don't know on my settings if I'm set for speed/torque or what. It climbs hills OK, but not at any fast rate of speed.

Haven't played with any of the advanced settings.

What kind of motor you have in that cart? You might need some HP.

The voltage difference you got ( less than a volt 0.6V actually ) does not surprise me. That is just a calibration error in the voltage measuring between your meter and the Alltrax controller.

What resistor are you talking about?

They had me jumper across the pre-charge resistor and it started working. Now it works with the resistor, the voltage discrepancy between actual and what the controller is now gone, and the past few days I haven't got any more random errors.

It's a Bandit. Don't know what changing any of the controller curves would do?

It was .8v but if my Fluke were that far off, it would way out of tolerance. And if the controller is using those values to determine shutdown, etc. I would say it should be much more accurate than the difference I was seeing.

Either way, for the moment it has quit malfunctioning and the readings match my meter. Strange,...
