Default 1987 Club Car DS question

Should the master solenoido engage as soon as the key turns on? By the looks of the diagram it is operated by the first micro switch.

It is indeed operated by the first microswitch. Turning on the key should activate nothing other than allow power to the microswitches.

Thanks, I took apart the box with the speed micro switches and I think an adjustment on the accelerator rod will fix that issue. Another question. I was adding a few accessories to the cart and noticed that I have negative voltage at the key switch. Is that normal on these cars?

If you are installing a voltage reducer, you'll need to remember that.
