Default passenger side aft battery keeps failing

Hello I am new to golf carts and this forum.

I have a 2001 48 volt, 6 8v, club car. I have an issue with my batteries. I have replaced the passenger side aft battery 3 times. The battery in that position only lasts about 1 month before failure. It is the battery that is attached to the red wire going back toward the motor.

Is there anything in the system that can cause this problem?

Something is most likely wrong with how the charge wires are hooked up as it sounds like it is not getting charged... Besides the big red wire going toward the motor area is there a smaller red wire hooked up to the (+) terminal on this battery?

Wow! Thx for the quick responses. No! the small red wire is connected to the battery in front of that one. I will move it to the aft battery.

Wow. Did the charger actually work only connected to 5 8volt batteries? If it did you will defiantly want to check the water levels on all five of them.

Yes, the charger did work with the 5 batteries. I have added water to the batteries. I guess that is why! Thx for the info. I really appreciate all the help, thank you all. That issue has been driving me crazy since I bought this cart. My battery cables look ugly as well. I just ordered a set from Scotty.
